Section C, recovery tips

Recovery after having a baby takes time, especially if you've had a cesarean section. Here's how to take care of yourself so you heal and feel better faster.
Look after number one, plus one

Once you're home from the hospital, delegate as much as possible to your partner, family or friends. Focus on you and your baby. "It is important that you remain mobile and active, but over time built in your day to rest for long periods. You should not be lifting or pulling heavy objects or perform any unnecessary cleaning, is William Allyson advice.
Gently lift

Do not lift anything heavier than your baby up to six weeks for your abdominal muscles have a chance to heal. His stomach also suffer less stress when rolling up his hand first, making your knees to your chest, then sit and use hands to push up stands.
Have a laugh

You're probably not aware of how much you use stomach muscles until they have undergone surgery. So to relieve pain or discomfort, keep a soft pillow against your stomach for the first days or beyond if necessary, when coughing, laughing, breastfeeding ... and do a poo.
Within the story

On the subject, to make it easier to go to the bathroom, lots of drinking and eating plenty of fruit to help keep your stools soft. And to reduce the painful wind - another unpleasant side effect - soft drinks to a failure of the first few days at least and drink mint tea instead.
Easy Exercises

Even if you can not do much after caesarean section who are or feel at first, keep all down below bits on how to do pelvic floor exercises. These may be uncomfortable at first, but they also help support your back and abdomen. "Pelvic floor exercises are the most important things to do at this time, and to strengthen the pelvic floor, which supports the abdominal organs as the bladder, Allyson says Williams." Your community midwife will be able to give information on other exercises to do when you get to six weeks after birth. You can not start exercising before this time. "
All about you

To help clear up, take good care of himself. That is not easy with a new baby, so get help with homework, shopping, cooking and caring for older siblings so you can focus on you and your newborn. Eat nutritious meals and snacks and drink plenty of water. Rest as much as possible, relax and take a relaxing bath if you can, at the end of the day. Literally put your feet up so you are decreasing the tension in the muscles of the abdomen and let heal.
Healing touch

Soft cream or oil in the cesarean scar to help it heal and fade, and to keep it soft so it does not sting as much. Gently massage the scar once it is recovering well and the stitches have dissolved can also help flatten over time. You can get specialist cesarean scar lotions or try Bio-Oil, in pharmacies, or a cocoa butter cream. Massage and reflexology are believed to be useful for post-caesarean recovery. So finding a trained professional and enjoy yourself - you deserve it.
Feelings

Your emotions will be all over the place after having a baby. Be tired, and may be tearful or depressed, and recovery from a cesarean can also affect how you feel. Talk to your doctor or a doctor if these feelings pass within days. And try to cesarean Forum Bounty  to share your feelings with other moms.
Keep on moving

Take a walk every day to get your circulation (important after surgery), muscle strength, have a bit of fresh air in and out of the house. Ask your partner / friend / relative go with you to push the baby in the stroller or carry him or her in a sling for the first few days after you're home, or, if you still feel a little unstable or uncomfortable.
Up

Sitting or standing can make you feel as if your stitches are going to explode. Do not worry, they are not, so although you may want to stoop to protect your stomach, try to straighten slowly to stretch and strengthen your abs and protect your back.
